Resumo: | The study on its possibilities for serving the caprine lentivirus by artificial insemination (AI) and embryo transfer (ET) has big importance in control programs caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) directly influencing trade considerations of Germplasm. Abaliados this experiment were the presence of CAEV in samples of semen, embryos, uterine fluid, and bath wash embiões through viral isolation and polymerase chain reaction Nested, the factors that influence the presence of virus in semen and using the TST as a tool to control the CAE. Proved the presence of CAEV in semen and uterine fluid, indicating the risk of virus transmission by natural mating, AI and the possibility of maternal fetal transmission. As the CAEV was not detected in the embryo and in the means of washing and healthy pups were obtained by ET, this technique, provided they followed the health standards of IETS is a safer alternative in the use of genetic material and breeding matrices infected CAEV |
