Resumo: | The present study has the theoretical basis of anglo-saxon Critical Discourse Analyses based on Faircloughs studies (1989, 1992, 2001, 2003), supported by Systemic Functional Linguistics, based on Hallidays studies (1978, 1985.1995), Halliday & Matthiessen (2004),more specifically of TRANSITIVITY and APPRAISAL, the discursive system according to Martin (2000), Martin and Rose (2003) and Martin and White (2005). Our central objective was to know what are the linguistics and discursive meanings realized on a speech language of speech therapists that reveals how is the interaction with mothers in the speech therapist clinic. To search this central objective and others more specific, we used the instrument of an audio recorded interview, questioning: how do you characterize the interaction with mothers in the speech therapist clinic? The data analyses involved the Processes of TRANSITIVITYto investigate how the speech therapists represent the interaction and to know if they use some strategy to involve the mothers. To explore the interpersonal meanings, we based on the systemic evaluative resources of APPRAISAL. The Critical Discourse Analyses had the aimto understand by actional, representational and identificational meanings, the values manifested and if the discourse expresses changes in the relation between professional and mothers. The corpus is constituted of five transcribed texts constructed by speech therapists who make speech treatment in children came from public and private health system in the city of Belo Horizonte. The data analyses make evident that the constructed meanings mixture representations related to professional actions; and evaluative meanings of social value of the interaction and its relevance for the therapeutic process. The way that the interaction happens, consolidate the social role of the speech therapists group constructed by their professional history. The discourses explore legitimated conventions of different relations invested of ideological meanings. We also conclude that the discourses naturalize routines and intrinsic rules, based on professional believes, related with the situational context and the status whichexpresses ethics values of traditional practices, consolidated by history. |
