Resumo: | Human dignity, this exclusive quality of the human person that accredits one as a holder of human rights, is a concept that has been being gradually built in history and that nowadays is the foundation and the purpose to the fulfillment of justice. From the investigation on the concept of human dignity and its unfolding into the dialectic of recognition can be stated, according to the data released by the United Nations Organization about the current levels of wealth distribution, that the realization of justice in the concrete universal level does not take place in satisfactory standards and that this picture requires urgent and substantial changes to answer to human needs, from the perspective of the idea of justice in the contemporary world. The path to accomplish that has been set since the creation of the United Nations in 1945, regarding the juridicity, and, therefore, the exigibility, of the rights declared in the International Bill of Human Rights, which realization can only be through the better distribution of the universal wealth. The relation between justice and economic efficiency actually enables and justifies the continuity of inequalities around the globe. Human dignity is the foundation to the duty of distributing the wealth and the substantiation of this duty into rights effectively fulfilled to all is absolutely indispensable to the realization of universal concrete justice. |
