Resumo: | The main objective of the research is to understandthe look of youth for Integrated School Program (PEI), of the Municipal Education ofBelo Horizonte. Thus, it became important to know if the program in the format it is presented and developed with the students of the 3rd cycle of Basic Education, approaches theaspirations of young people linked to it, or if this Program, to turn to youth , is configured more like a re-adaptation of a proposal designed for the universe of childhood. For this, during the school year 2011, followed eleven teenagers, aged between 12 and 15 years, a municipal school in the Northeast of the city, on the occasions when they participated in the Workshops offered in PEI. The selection criteria for the school where the research took place were the presence of greater number of students enrolled in PEI and the condition of the work program at the school for at least two years. As a research methodology, I used qualitative analysis (Strauss and Corbin, 2008), as instruments observation unstructured (Vianna, 2003) and semi-structured interview (Rubin & Rubin, 1995). Research has shown that the PEI serves the universeof youth and young people appear to feel addressed by it, including adapting them to stay in PEI to their personal choices, motivated by multiple issues, that includetraining, socialization, the emotional ties, family and others. There is no significance and meanings pre-defined, but built from experience that young people in PEI, which can be positive or not, as the feeling of hospitality, building autonomy, affirmation of identity, among others. By joining the program, youth reframes it, mobilizing other people involvedto rethink it, so you can not apply the PEI modeled geared for children. It was found that the insistence on the rigidity of the format of PEI could lead to discouragement in youth participation; hence, flexibility (in time and space) would feature a more coherent with the current condition of youth and better talk to the youths of today's society. |
