Resumo: | In this work we have studied the optical properties of thin films ofdialcoxiphenylene derivative polymers and its possible applications in electro-optical devices, in particular photo-voltaic cells. We have used the poly([(9,9-dihexylfluoren-2,7-diyl)-co-(9-ethylcarbazol-2,7-diyl)] (PDHF-ECZ), a commercial conjugated copolymer from Sigma Aldrich, and the polymers: poly(thienylene-2,5-dialkoxyphenylene) (PTDP), poly(2,5-tiophene-1,4- dialkoxiphenylene-b) (TPT-b) (MS068), a special polymer specie that couples well to the TiO2), as well as a derivative of the TPT (TPT-ac) (MS025), both synthetized in France, at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier. For the study of the optical properties we have employed measurements of absorption, photoluminescence at different geometries of excitation, also as a function of the temperature. Measurements of time correlation single photon counting (TCSPC) have also been performed in order to obtain the time decays of individual polymer films, films of blends and bilayers.Interesting results concerning the photo-physical properties involvingéxciton energy transfer in blends and bilayers, and formation of exciplex states and their emission were observed. Correlation of these results to those obtained by TCSPC, gave a very coherent explanation of this work. |
