Resumo: | Based on the mapping of the architectural heritage of Belo Horizonte it was possible to notice a concentration of studies and cultural heritage preservation policies in buildings inside the limit of Contorno Avenue, and a lacking of studies and inventory of the pericentral neighborhoods (the neighborhoods which are around Contorno Avenue). In order to contribute for the construction of data and the elaboration of studies of this region, an area of study was determined to deepen the investigation. The choice of Anchieta and Cruzeiro is because it is they are old neighborhoods (their occupation dates from the beginning of the 20th century) and due to the lack of for about their architectural heritage. Therefore, research about the urban evolution of the area was done, by doing bibliographical research about its history, as well as a diagnosis of the current situation, field visits, a variety of mappings, and analysis of the urban law and the heritage protection instruments. Based on this information, centres of remaining houses from the beginning of the occupation of this area were identified, their physical and urban characteristics were analyzed to verify if they still preserve their ambience. It was noticed, that even with the lack of protection measures and all the changes that happened in this area, the majority of these centres still preserve this ambience and can be considered an urban set. |
