Resumo: | Small hydroelectric power plants (mCH) were essential for Brazilian development. Years of gotten expertise with the implementation of this entrepreneurial event, and the technological advances of these times, made possible the construction of large hydroelectric plants, which caused that small hydroelectric projects lose attractive, however, renewable energies implantation, generated great interest on the development of new methods of generation in mCH, which are intended to take advantage of primary resources as much as possible. One of the power generation systems which has been highlighted in recent yearsis wind energy generation because of their adaptability with the variation of air flows. Due to the success of these methodologies, implementation in power generation system is being studying to allow using them in other energy generation systems. In Brazil mCH represents an excellent opportunity due to their similarities in the operation of these systemsand the large number of mCH operating in the country many of them with low performance. This dissertation work proposes the implementation of a generation wind turbine systems, which aim is to improve the performance of the mCH, based on Eolic energy system generation. In the typical methodology used in mCH defined in this study as a conventional methodology, maximum performance is just in the flow of draft, which doesnt remain available 100% of the operation time , In the proposed methodology, maximum performance is increased when the generator set works in regime of operation at variable speed, helped by a static power converter connected to the output of the generator. It is possible to find the point of maximum transfer of power MPPT of each flow. This study with actual mCH data will be presented to introduce the increase in performance that brings the functioning of these systems of variable speed compared to conventional hydroelectric generation systems. |
