This document presents the doctoral thesis - Methodcioav for Industrial Solid Wastes Recycling - a highly relevant subject at present. A literature review was performed concerning the definitions and concepts related to solid wastes and to recycling systems of solid wastes generated by the major industrial segments of the state of Minas Gerais (metallurgy/iron and steel making and mining). The objective of the investigation was establishing a methodology for Industrial Solid Wastes Recycling and then applying it, at laboratory scale, to the processing of the residues Cake from the Acidulated Effluents Treatment Station and Scale, here denominated byproducts. The relevance of the investigation contemplates gains on environmental, social and economical aspects regarding the final destination of the wastes submitted to the recycling system. It is understood that recycling means all operations performed on solid wastes, from minimizing the generation, including handling, segregation and the final destination after the treatment aiming at the reutilizatlon.
