Resumo: Running complete spatial randomness tests for analysis of point patterns located in a planar region is important in many areas of knowledge, such as ecology and epidemiology. Initially, studiesfocused in this issue in the context of regions in which the complete mapping is not feasible were developed through the so called Distance Method. In this methodology, sampling units are arbitrarypoints selected in the area of interest and statistical inference is based on distances between each point and its two nearest events.Assuncao(1994) and Assuncao and Reis(2000) introduced a dierent approach, the Method of Angle. From this perspective, the information used is the angle between the vectors connecting the arbitrary point to its rst and second nearest events. The tests based on the Angle Methodpresented a power smaller than those classi ed in the Distance Method. This paper aims to join the measures already proposed in the literature, distance and angle, in new tests for spatial randomness. In the simulated scenarios, the proposal resulted in more powerful tests than those currently used
