Resumo: | This work aims at the use of grinding mathematical modelling tools and simulation for the assessment of different mill charges and for the optimization of the 5M5A mill at plant 5 Nibrasco CVRD. At first, a complete sampling procedure was performed at the industrial plant, operating with a cylpebs charge, for the material balance adjustment, which data were used for the hidrocyclone model calibration. The sample collected at the industrial plant feed was used in torque mill test using balls and cylpebs charges to estimate breakage parameters which were confirmed in the pilot plant. As the industrial plant was operating with cylpebs, the model was also validated in this scale, confirming its accuracy. Then the breakage parameters for balls were utilized forthe simulation of the grinding industrial circuit. Therefore if was possible to verify that the balls charge provided a better grinding performance. |
