Resumo: | Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a technology in which information is shared in free space within the cone of light emitted in the visible spectrum. The development and growth of the use of LED (Ligth Emitting Diode) in lighting and displays, in addition to the ease of modulating its intensity, VLC systems have been considered a promising complement to the radio-frequency communication system, which has insufficient bandwidth to the growing demand for connectivity. In this way, especially in indoor environments, also offers the additional advantage of using the same optical source for both lighting and data transmission purposes. However, indoor environments can feature varied geometries and topologies, in which the concern must be the best trade-off between performance and efficiency. In this work, we propose an optimization strategy in indoor environments with transmission in VLC based on genetic algorithms (GA), in which, given the data rate, the number of transmitters and the target Bit Error Rate (BER), it seeks to minimize the emitted power equired in the transmitters. |
