Resumo: | The complexity of the overhead position and the importance of the pores in the welding quality, make necessary understand the distribution and location of porosity and his dependence of the angles with the ones the welds are made. These changes in work angle influence the welding metal hardness andmorphology of the welding bead. With the intention to know the results in the weld bead appearance, weld bead morphology, weld metal hardness, microstructure in HAZ and weld metal, porosity and location was developed a mechanized device to weld underwater wet weld in overhead position. The welds were made with rutillic electrode AWS specification E6013 manually varnished at deeps of 10 and 50 meter withthe plate angels of 10°, 30° and 70° degrees and work angles of 40°, 50° and 60° degrees. The results show that the porosity its highly dependent of the deep. To welds made at 10 meters deep the porosity its distributed50% in the penetration and 50% in the reinforcement, while welds made at 50 the porosity its distributed 70% in the penetration and until 30% in the reinforcement.. Likewise, increasing the plate angle the porosity increase up to 36% at 10 meters and 22% at50 meters. The hardness in weld metal its influenced directly with the plate angle , since smallest plate angle, lowest values of hardness. |
