Resumo: | The subject of this thesis refers to the field of Social Psychology, notably, the field of mental health. It is sought to understand the Basaglia's rehabilitation perspective, articulating them to the practices conducted in one of the Social Centers of the network of mental health services of Belo Horizonte. The general goal of this Master's degree was to problematize the rehabilitative practices of Minas Gerais' mental health's policy. This general purpose ended up unfolding into the following objectives: 1 - To investigate the perspective of rehabilitation of Franco Basaglia from his writings; 2 - To describe the rehabilitation experience of a Social Center from the developed practices in this service, with an empirical case that shows the approach of the psychiatric reform of Minas Gerais; 3 - To review the discussion about psychosocial rehabilitation through its main authors; 4 - To reflect about the practice of psychosocial rehabilitation of a Social Center from Basaglia's point of view. The methodological framework was mainly qualitative. The research of Basaglia's perspective about rehabilitation was realized through the book Scritti II, which is made with Basaglia's papers from the period of 1968 to 1980. To analyze these papers, this thesis was inspired by the realization of an exegetical effort. For immersion in the field, this thesis used the participant observation method and the construction of a Field Diary. By studying the book Scritii II was made possible to comprehend that there is not only one concept of Basaglia's perspective, but actually a set of conceptions about this concept. Thus, this thesis presents as result the reflection about the Social Center's rehabilitation practices through these conceptions. By making this reflection, this thesis problematizes these practices and therefore, looks to contribute with the discussion about psychosocial rehabilitation. This thesis composes the research of international cooperation "Models of psychosocial rehabilitation: Brasil and Italy", coordinated by the teachers Maria Stella Brandão Goulart from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and Bruna Zani from Università di Bologna (UNIBO). The researcher is part of the research's team in Belo Horizonte and conceived this project from the international research and studies about Basaglia. |
