Resumo: The present work consists of the control system analusis and improvements proposal of a railroad classification yard, also known as Hump Yard, belonging to a Brazilian miner company. A Hump Yard is, physically, a ramp followed by a breaking system and tracks of railroads in a yard. The process is based on the gravity action and the is made through a breaking point, which determines the exit speed of the wagons, looking for the soft fitting of the same ones in the end of the destiny track. The purpose of this Hump Yard is to allow that the discharged wagons in operational state, could be separated from the ones that need maintenance. This system is of fundamental importance for its user, once it represents a bottleneck for the empty wagons liberation, operating continually. In a more detailed analysis along this work will be seen that for the whole process study and assisting a need of the project in the platform tests, it was fundamental the elaboration of a systems simulator. This study made possible the generation of a database and the model application based on neurofuzzy network, presented here as improvement proposal of the original algorithm.
