Resumo: With the ease of access to information technologies, especially the internet, issues involving ethics and integrity in research, plagiarism and author production have been a concern in higher educationinstitutions. In this dissertation, the approach of these topics is part of a survey carried out in the framework of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, specifically in Graduate programs Stricto sensu, with the objective of verifying how these programs have monitored and discussed theseissues in the development of scholarly works. The data were obtained through a qualitative analysis of documents. Initially, I tried to evaluate how UFMG and Graduate programs Stricto sensu have approached and confronted the issues relating to plagiarism. For this, an assessment of available information was carried out in the sites of the higher administrative bodies of the University, the Research, Extension and Education Council (CEPE), the University Council, and in the GraduatePrograms. Then, consultations were carried out directly in the Graduate Programs, with the objective of obtaining information regarding the teaching plans of the disciplines of research methodology. In addition to consulting the programs, this research was complemented with thecurricular grids of the courses, so as to enable the mapping of strategies used by the Graduate programs for the training of students in ethics and integrity of the research and also to check how is the process of authorship of the students in developing academic works. The research results showed that, although relevant, these subjects basically have not been discussed in the University, except in specific and punctual situations. In this way, we can conclude that UFMG has noinstitutional policies to counter and combat plagiarism, demonstrating the need for promoting actions to diagnose the plagiarism and taking educational, preventive and corrective measures, according to the case. Similarly, the Graduate programs also need to guide the training of students considering the approaches on ethics and integrity in research, as well as the copyright building of students.
