Resumo: | This research was done in a manufacturing contract company of the electronic and informatics sector. In this sector, it is common for the companies to divide in OEM (Original Equipment Manufactures) and EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Service). The OEMs are responsible for the marketing, sales and products development. The EMSs are responsible for the production and products distribution. The companies of this sector produce a great variety of products which have a high aggregate value; however they also have a short life cycle. Also, the client is more demanding, indicating that the company that will be more flexible to follow the demand will became more competitive. Then, the lean manufacturing appeared as the alternative to optimize the client attendance. It has as the main objective to eliminate all the activities that dont aggregate value to the final product. This is possible by a continuous production flow with high quality level, reduction costs and fast at the changes introduction. The lean manufacturing concept is extremely ample, then applicable inthe several areas in the organization. Additionally there are many techniques for utilization in this kind of production systems as such as SMED (Single Minute Exchange Die), Just in Time, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, Six Sigma, Pokayoke and others. With this context it was established the focus of this study in the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) line production and limited to SMED and TPM techniques application. One of the objectives of this study is the changeover time reduction, which is the exchange of dies and machine adjust when there is a product change. This time reduction is extremely relevant because it makes possible the reduction of intermediary stocks, increases the production flexibility with small batch and lead times, it speeds up the service for the client it optimizes the production programming. Also, the development of TPM methodology is aimed to integrate the changeover and maintenance activities, for an improvement in productivity. |
