Resumo: | In 1999 the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards edited the Brazilian standard NBR 14323. This standard refers to the fire design of steel and composite concrete/steel structural elements. It presents procedures who, in several cases, allows a number of simplifications in the determination of temperature in several parts of these elements infire condition. In this work, the precision of these procedures is evaluated. To achieve this objective, a computer program was developed that performs transient and nonlinear thermal analysis based on the Finite Element Method for obtaining the values of temperature distribution in several points of the analyzed sections. Several examples of concrete, steel and composite structural elements were processed with and without fire protection. The results of the numerical analysis are compared with those obtained using NBR 14323 and with values from the technical literature. This work also presents details of the formulation used in the development of the program and a bibliographical review with the main publications covering the subject. |
