Resumo: | In recent years the state of Minas Gerais has been impacted by the biggest business disasters in its history. The events that occurred in Mariana (in 2015) and Brumadinho (in 2019) are the result of an extractivist logic that dates back to the colonial period (founding moment of the capitalist mode of production, according to Caio Prado Júnior) and which is reflected by the overexploitation of colonized peoples' work (according to Ruy Mauro Marini). These disasters are also the consequence of the deepening of this extractive logic by instruments such as the separation of bodies and territories in Latin America (as Aráoz predicts) and a policy of expansion of mining enterprises by the Latin American governments of the last twenty years (as told by Gudynas). Given this serious scenario, what is proposed in this dissertation is the overcoming of the model by a profound social revolution, which changes the consumerist and productivist bases of society, introducing new values based on the maximum defense of life and nature and the search for human’s real needs. It is also believed that, even if to a limited extent, labor law can play an important role in this revolutionary process, since being under a deep reform. |
