Resumo: | Gábor Buza, hungarian violinist, student of Jenö Hubay and CarlFlesch, acted as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher in his country in the first half of the twentieth century. He came to Brazil in August of 1949, settling definitely in Belo Horizonte. In this city, he stood out as a violin teacher at several institutions, graduating several generations of students. This study, through testimonies of ex-students, relatives, co-workers and directors of the institutions in which he acted, come to give an account of the biographical aspects and recover the memory of Gábor Buza as a violin teacher. It analyses his contribution to the teaching of violin between the fifties and eighties in Minas Gerais capital, gives an account of his methodology of teaching and presents part of the educational material created by him. |
