Resumo: The present work was added to the oily extract of Lippia origanoides in vitro of bovine embryos produced in vitro, with an estimated purpose of its antioxidant effect. In the embryonic culture stage, the possible zygotes were cultivated in media with different concentrations of antioxidants, being a total of 5 treatments: T1 - culture medium without addition of antioxidants; T2 - culture medium + 50M / mL Cysteamine; T3 - culture medium + 2.5g / mL of Lippia origanoides oily extract; T4 - culture medium + 5.0g / mL of Lippia origanoides oily extract; T5 - culture culture + 10.0g / mL oily extract of Lippia origanoides. After the seventh day of culture (D7), the blastocysts were selected for analysis. As a result of the cultivated analyzes, they were found in the apoptotic indexes for the embryos cultured in media containing the oily extract of Lippia origanoides. The treatments that induce lower rate of apoptosis are larger in proportion to mitochondria and less cytoplasmic vacuolization, evaluated by means of cellular morphometry. In addition, gene expression results indicated that supplementation tests with Lippia origanoides were altered in the expression of the antioxidant enzyme PRDX-1, an important antioxidant enzyme capable of reducing the hydrogen content. The results obtained in the different studies were those that were submitted to a non-oil extract test of Lippia origanoides do not influence the rates of total embryo production, but may act to increase the quality of the embryonic cells in a molecular and morphological way.
