Resumo: | This study evaluated the individual and contextual factors associated with specialized dental treatment needs in the population aged 35 to 44 years in the state of Minas Gerais. We used adult oral health secondary data obtained in the epidemiological survey of the Research on Oral Health Conditions of the population of Minas Gerais, as well as municipal data obtained from public databases. A multilevel analysis was performed to evaluate the association of independent individual and contextual variables with or without dental treatment needs in the secondary care of the oral health network. Individuals with higher income (OR 0.53; CI 95% 0.31-0.93) and with greater access to oral health care, measured by coverage of the first consultation of primary care (OR 0.94; 95% CI 0.90-0.99), had less secondary care treatment needs. Income and access to oral health care are related to the needs of specialized dental treatment in Minas Gerais. |
