Resumo: | The continuing growth of grid connected wind turbine generation systems worldwide has led to many research efforts towards the understanding of their dynamic behavior. Within this context, this thesis presents the analysis of three different technologies of wind turbines during balanced end unbalanced voltage sags in the power systems. These are the types that are more commercialized today. In this study an approximated model of a windgenerator with synchronous machine was developed and made available in the market by the German companyEnercon. The aim is to compare the performance of this technologywith two others models that had been previously developed. One of them is the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) and the other is the synchronous generator (SG). These dynamic models were built in a Matlab/Simulink environment and the consequent results are capable of demonstrating the behavior and the difference of each technology under faults. Beyond this, the main protection system required in these technologies were discussed and an analysis about the wind turbines ride-through capability has been performed, with emphasis on the ability of each technology to maintain its connection in a grid. |
