Resumo: This dissertation presents a study on the development of a methodology for ultrasonic tests applying on mini panels in rammed earth. This study is part of a broader research project, in which the first phase was successfully realized, proving the existence of a correlation between mechanical strength and ultrasonic velocity in earth material. Searting to achieve the objective, the research was conducted in three stages. In the first stage, the soil to be worked was chosen, taking into consideration the type of soil used in the first stage of the research project. In the second stage, geotechnical tests were conducted in order to understand the behavior of the chosen soil. Finally, on the third phase, ultrasonic tests were conducted. It is hoped that this work may be a contribution to the studies development on the use of non-destructive testing in the evaluation of structures built with earth material, such as rammed earth, for example.
