The valorization of the protection aforded by the copyright laws was propelled by the technological advancements brought by the ampliation of the methods for reproduction and difusion of contents, which increased the conflict of interests in this area of the law: On one side is the private logic of the exclusivity, which is organized specifically for the lucrativity; on the other side is the collective logic of stimulation of the arts and the ciences through the difusion of culture and knowledge. It is necessary to analyse the fundamentals of the industrial propertyby kind and, more specifically, the pricipals and basic concepts concerning copyright law. It is also necessary to review the limitations to the laws pertaining to copyright, which are based on public interest. A collaborative model is presented as an alternative for the administration of the property protected by copyright laws proposing to regain balance in the latent conflict between the exclusivity and the exploration versus the freedom of cultural difusion.
