Resumo: | The present study aims to promote empowerment and autonomy of students from the district of São Sebastião do Sacramento, Manhuaçu - MG, through the reading of biographies and autobiographies of inspiring women. Thus, an intervention project was developed, anchored in critical literacies, which aimed to contribute to the identification of young people involved with different possibilities for professional growth. In addition to enabling the students to broaden their horizons and be authors of their own history, thus breaking with the traditionalism present in the region. For this, a research with a qualitative approach was carried out, giving voice and protagonism to the research participants, so that the study generated transformation. In addition, to achieve the research objectives, an analysis of theoretical discourses was carried out that address critical literacies, biographical and autobiographical texts, the experiences of rural women and their (in)visibility and the importance of reading in social change. From this project it was possible to observe the beginning of a path of change, change in actions and thoughts, in the lives of my students. In addition, through the workshops, students improve reading and speaking skills. |
