Resumo: | The aim this work is to make a comparative analysis of some procedures to evaluate domain integrals using the Boundary Element Method. With this purpose a FORTRAN 77 computational code has been developed, considering domain effects in linear elastic analysis of 2-D plane stress/strain problems. The considered domain integrals arise from the consideration of the gravitational force and temperature changes. To take into account these effects, a procedure using the division of the domain into cells and two methods tod transform the domain integral into an equivalent boundary integral (the Galerkin Tensor Method and the Multiple Reciprocity Method) have been used. The efficiency of the procedures is shown by comparing the results obtained in several analysed examples. The influence of some parameters in the results is also evaluated, such as the parameter due the fundamental solution constant, the use of interpolated temperature initial values or the use of temperature distributions that do not satisfy the Gauss equilibrium condition. These evaluations allow for farther insight into the differences on the results for each procedure and indicate the best approach to be used with some applications. |
