Resumo: The research is oriented towards the observation of the general theory of mine planning and the indication of a reference to enable the connection between the production plans prepared by different planning teams as well as the different horizons of mine planning. For this, a selection of relevant geometric intervals in the life of a mine was made using strategic, tactical and operational elements applied in the classic pit optimization process. In this study, these geometries were referred to as Intermediate Pits or Notable Pits. Based on this selection, the operationalization of these pits generates a structured geometric framework to be used as a reference in the development of production plans for all mine planning horizons. The use of these partial pits as a geometric reference then allows, in a practical way, all the different teams to know the temporal milestones of the final pit. Corporate governance problems such as management of technical information flow guidance, remote geometric reference for short and medium term production plans, non-operational annual plans use a mathematical "Life Of Mine", lack of connection in the mining sequencing prepared by different teams can be solved and/or minimized using Intermediate Pits. This way the mine planning as a whole will have integrated strategic, tactical and operational references and a tool to apply corporate governance applying KPIs such as adherence and compliance index and effectiveness. In this way, all people the mine planning team will have integrated strategic, tactical and operational references and a tool to apply corporate governance through index such as adherence, compliance, effectiveness.
