This dissertation aims to show the trajectory of the notion of dispositive in the foucauldian works concerning to genealogy of power, period comprising Discipline and punish (1975), the fisrt volume of History of sexuality (1976) and the courses taught at Collège de France during the 1970s. Foremost, we researched the general characteristics of apparatus/dispositive: its location in Foucaults thinking and its fundamental particulars. After we turn to understanding the kind of power that the apparatus/dispositive covers, an overview of the force lines involved by disposition strategies. Finally, we study the meaning of the term along the political-genealogic times, from the writtens on disciplinary dispositives to the investigations on biopolitical apparatuses, the security mechanisms.
