This work proposes anew approach to the beta logistic distribution belonging to the class of generalized beta distributions. is known in literature and called the generalizad logistic of type IV. For this new approach, the study was conducted of the probability density functino, cumulative distribution function and hazard function. We present expressions for the moments, moment generating functin, measures of central tendency, probability density function of order statistics, average deviations, entropies,and Lorenz and Bonferroni curves. The estimador of maximum likelihood is proposed to estimate the parameters this distribution and the expected informatin matrix is calculated. To illustrate the application the beta logistic distribution we used two real data sets showing that it is more flexible than other distributions in the literature.
