Resumo: | This dissertation investigates the potential changes in the work time of teachers belonging to the educational network of Minas Gerais state (REE/MG). The present research comprises the years 2012 to 2017, the validation period of programs aimed to the reformulation of high school education, such as the Innovative High School Program (ProEMI) and Reinventing High School Education (REM), which supported the implementation of the reform for the high school education through Law nº 13.415 / 2017.The research also aimed to analyze through documentary analysis how the work time of teachers is postulated by the World Bank. To achieve the proposed objectives, a bibliographic research was conducted and followed by a documentary research, which included prescriptive, normative (national and from Minas Gerais) and informational documents. Secondary data from interviews and focal groups conducted in recent research linked to the Gestrado group were also used as sources: "Teaching Work at Basic Education in Brazil - Phase II" (2012 to 2015) and "The National Professional Minimum Wage in Minas Gerais: Implications on Career, Compensation and Teaching Union Representation (supported by FAPEMIG). The theoretical reference of this work was based on classic authors such as Marx, Gramsci and Thompson. It was inferred from the analysis of the experience implemented in the REE/MG that the proposal of reformulation of high school education through the increase of the workload reverberates on the intensification of the teaching work, since this extension does not foresee the hiring of more teachers via public tender. Another source for the intensification of the identified teaching work was the accumulation of disciplines taught by a same teacher, leading to greater demands on the professional. In addition, it was also noticed the absence of discussion and confrontation, by the union of the category, regarding the intensification of the teaching work in REE/MG. |
