This work presents the PhotoPixJ, a system for the execution and integration of Digital Image Processing algorithms. It was build a framework that intend to enable an easy way to implement image types, image processing algorithms and image formats. The system was implemented in Java and presents the application and the applet versions with the security restrictions for applets implementation. The system is multiplataform and, to extend it, with the adittion of new algorithms and other resources, is necessary only one implementation for all plataforms of execution. The use of PhotoPixJ enables a great productivity gain for DIP algorithms developers, in the implementation of not only algorithms but also a lot of non-essencial functionalities.
