Resumo: | Infectious agents are important factors involved in the occurrence of reproductive failure in dairy herds. The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between soropositivity and detection of genetic material of the agents Bovine herpesvirus type 1, Bovine viral diarrhea virus, Bluetongue virus, Bovine Leukemia virus, Leptospira interrogans, Neospora caninum, Escherichia coli, Campylobacter.fetus subsp venerealis and Tritrichomonas foetus in samples of uterine biopsy of animals with a history of abortion, stillbirths and repeated breeding (n = 23 ) and in animals with no problems related to reproductive history (n = 23)in three dairy herds from Minas Gerais.DNA of BLV and of E. coli was detected in 52,17% and 28,26%, respectively, in uterine biopsy samples, with no association with the occurrence of reproductive problems. The detection of Tritrichomonas foetus was considered nonspecific and the other agents studied were not detected in the uterus samples. In conclusion, other non- infectious factors may play a role in the occurrence of reproductive problems in dairy cows. |
