The presente work has two central axes of analysis: the first one fomented discussions about the socialization processes experienced by the gypsies calons of Céu Azul (Belo Horizonte), and the second one reflected on the anthropological performance in the specific context of land regularization involving these calons. The themes developed emerged from a field work with the community that was carried out during about nine months. During this period, I was able to see a creative aggregation of different non-gypsies agents involved in land regularization by the calons, and through a particular understanding of this process (concern about maintaining historic agreements with non- gypsies and their reputation for being peaceful in the neighborhood) the possibility of another interpretation of the relations between gypsies and state agents in this process became clear. Concurrently, I was able to raise a discussion about the specific process of socialization among those calon, termed by them as Pegando o Ritmo. Through the analysis of this concept, I tried to make feasible some everyday situation where moral values, singular knowledge and experiences shared by the group were added as markers of the distinction o approach of non- gypsies
