Resumo: | The number of adolescents involved in crime is alarming in Brazil. And it is increasing the inclusion of these subjects in the fulfillment of socio-educative measure, as it is called the application of sanctions to teen who commits an infraction. The law governing the implementation of educational measures is 8.069/1990, the Child and Adolescent ACE. This legislation is one of the most advanced in Latin America with regard to ensuring and protecting the rights of children and adolescents, being the result of a strong social movement to fight for these rights occurred in Brazil in the 80s. This study intends to focus on the relationships that youth establish with the school in place of deprivation of freedom, since,according to the ECA, from the time that the teenager is taken in the hospital school attendance is compulsory and the provision of schooling in place a duty of public authority. The aim is to try to understand and analyze the perspectives of adolescents in conflict with the law for the school as the school mean at the time of the completion of the detention, which the school feelings awakened in this space these young people. From (re) readings of authors that deal with violence, youth, deprivation of liberty and the school / youth and brief information about the profile and the education of adolescents admitted to a childcare center located on the outskirts of Belo Horizonte, we tried to research, understand some questions: how the young school mean they are subjected to the deprivation of liberty? What are their eyes before the school? What is the present and what role this school plays in the lives of these individuals?To carry out this research the methodological strategies used were field observation and semistructured interviews. The study does not intend to exhaust the subject proposed, but bring new elements and discussions to understand how schooling is perceived by adolescents and signified in a space so unique: the deprivation of liberty. |
