Resumo: | The objective of this research was to analyze the process of regulating the rear beds of the emergency care network due to a fracture of the femur, for hospitalization in a hospital specialized in trauma and orthopedics, located in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, during the period from 2015 to 2021. The methodological path adopted favored a descriptive-qualitative study using documentary data and databases extracted from SUSfácilMG and medical records, according to COEP protocols. The results pointed to the need to implement necessary improvements in the process of regulating emergency beds, in order to promote surgical care for femoral neck fractures at the ideal time, favoring the qualification of care. The study reinforced the need to adopt an innovative logic, notably in the response time measured from the patient's involvement to the resolution of his case. Delays in the implementation of effective treatments can compromise the care process, with regulation being the bridge of interconnection between health services, allowing the establishment of processes in order to accommodate the demands of SUS users in an orderly and equitable manner. For cases of femur fracture, the impacts and consequences of an extended time until surgery can have relevant repercussions for both patients and the health system. |
