Resumo: | This dissertation named (Coming, theres enough air) is a visual poetics research project in witch artistic practice a theory investigation intersect. A whole of works (drawings, paintings and installation art) executed by the artist between 1999 and 2005 constitutes the object of study. The painting and the surface, making possible the meeting between the viewer and the work, are analyzed through the concepts of flatness, decorative, collage, and assembly. Proceedings used to absord the viewer in XVII and XVIII centurys, are studied to revelate similar procedures in the contemporary art. The direction of this artistic practice from the surface of painting to the real space is approached, in a point of the view that puts the viewer and the work in the same place. |
