Resumo: | This research investigated memories of Physical Education teachers from a municipal public school in Belo Horizonte Minas Gerais. As for the theoreticalmethodological issues, this study is part of a qualitative approach, based in Oral History, aiming to know the experiences of five teachers of Professor Pedro Guerra Municipal Public School (EMPPG). Through individual and semistructured interviews, which took place in 2021, the subjects evoked memories leading to reminiscences about professional training, trajectories in the institution, the relationships and coexistence with other teachers, their developed projects and their daily lives at the school. The narratives from the investigated teachers refer to the period from 1982 to 2022, allowing the observation of changes in pedagogical practices, in teacherstudent rapport , in addition to improvements in the areas reserved to Physical Education classes. Theoretical references were based on authors who discuss the concepts of memory and experience and these contributions were essential to understand how each teacher has presented their work experiences in the current time. As a conclusion of the research, a collection entitled “Memories of Physical Education at Professor Pedro Guerra Municipal School” was organized. The material produced, recorded interviews, and their transcriptions became part of the Oral History Collection (CHO) from the Physical Education, Sport and Leisure Memory Center (Cemef) from the School of Education Physics, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (EEFFTO). |
