Resumo: Livestock farming occupies a prominent position in the Brazilian economic, however, it is still characterized by low performance, mainly related to reproductive inefficiency. Reproductive pathologies are one of the main causes of this lack of efficiency. Thus, it is important to know the characteristics of such pathologies for better diagnosis and control of them. The present study aims to identify and describe the ultrasound, macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of pathologies of the internal genitalia of bovine slaughtering females, as well as to determine their frequencies. For this, 274 internal genital organs of bovines of varied races were obtained, examined careffully and those with macroscopic alterations were recorded and analyzed. In addition to macroscopy, ultrasonographic analyzes were carried out in a container containing water and dark background, and histopathology, using slides stained with hematoxylin-eosin technique. The pathologies were classified into developmental, regressive, inflammatory, circulatory, progressive and uterine abnormalities. Developmental changes were composed of freemartin (0.7%), agenesis of cervix (0.35%), double cervix (0.35%), adenomyosis (0.35%) and ovarian hypoplasia (0.35%). . The regressions by follicular cyst (1.1%), luteinized cyst (0.35%), hydrosalpinge (0.35%) and mucometra (0.7%). Inflammatory endometritis (1.8)%, metritis (2.1%), pyometritis (0.35%), parametrite (0.7%), cervicitis (2.9%). Circulatory complications due to uterine edema (0.35%). The progressive granulosa cell tumor (0.35%). Two cases of fetal maceration (0.7%) were observed, classified as pathologies of the pregnant uterus. Of the total number of internal genital organs analyzed, 14.2% had some type of alteration. Among the groups of alterations, the inflammatory ones were the most frequent, occurring in 8.0% of the genital organs. Based on the data obtained, it is concluded that the ultrasonographic characterization, mainly of the less incident pathologies, provides an important diagnostic base, often clinically undetermined, and that even with the technological advances and modifications in the bovine breeding systems that occurred in the last decades , There were no changes in the frequency or characteristics of the conditions observed in cattle.
