Resumo: | This dissertation compares the lyrical works of two poets, Brazilian Adélia Prado and Italian Alda Merini, from an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates literary studies with theology. Through theoretical, critical, and literary texts, particularly poetry, similarities and differences in the representation of the sacred in the works of both poets were identified. To pinpoint the convergences and divergences between the two, bibliographic research was carried out, delving into studies that intersect theology, literary theories, biographies, poetry, women's literature, body, sacred and profane, daily life, trauma, and testimony. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that both authors recurrently express Catholic religiosity in their poems, in various forms and themes. Thus, they can be approached by their representations of the sacred regarding the figure of the woman, who stands between grace and guilt, as well as possessing a similar vision of how the body mediates the spheres of the profane and the sacred. However, they represent the body in contact with the sacred in quite distinct ways: Prado mainly represents pleasure, while Merini represents pain. Additionally, the sacralization of daily life was perceived in the verses of the Brazilian poet, while we encounter traumas and a dark God depicted in the verses of the Italian poet. |
