Resumo: | The present work aims to contribute to studies on pre-electoral coalitions in Brazil from the analysis on which social, economic and political conditions affects the composition of the coalitions in systems where there are multiple levels of government. This will bring new comprehension about the inter-party relations. For this purpose, will be treated the elections to the office of mayor, since it consists of a level of government where it is possible to consider the effects arising from the interaction with the federal and state levels. In order to classify the pre-electoral coalitions were mobilized two indexes to measure the composition through an ideological (IVI) and a governism criteria (IGF). The work starts from the premise that different electoral environments generate incentives for different courses of action party, in so , the political party must, in principle, choose or not the use of coalition, and, if so, decide on which partners will be sought. |
