Resumo: | This research proposes to analyze the matrimonial customs of some families, who settled in the middle of the eighteenth century, in the surroundings of the mountain of Camapuã, in the region of Rio das Mortes, and the cultural, social, economic and political relations that developed between them Clans, based on inbreeding practices established by them. Research on the practice of inbreeding and the motivations and consequences that led to these marriages in the same family aims to contribute to the research on the process of social and family organization, settlement and population fixation in Minas Gerais between 1750 and 1890.
