Resumo: | As we understand that every memory script moves over the imprecise terrains of othersand over events already lived, we chose to build three characters in the territory of affection. Afiction. With the invention of a character, G.M., and with the adoption of a narrator in the thirdperson, we try to establish a dialogue between the authors work and the work of Sophie Calleand Annette Messager. So, we try to express the work methods developed by Sophie Calle (her stories whichshe transforms into lived acts of love with an intense determination) and the possible meaningsthat her strategies make emerge in the same way that the residues that remain from them are onlyreminiscences of a process which the artist has employed. In Annette Messagers case an attempt was made to look inside her actions, in hersingular interferences in the animal world, which in the end opens the possibility of man regardinghimself in an unaccustomed manner. For it dislocates the comfortable human point of view, introducinginquietude into a world that is classified and ordered by rational patterns.G. M. moves from an art production with a self reflective content, in accordance withFoucaults lesson, to one in which the masculine names embroidered in the sheets of a artistsbook are nothing more than signs that vaguely allude to intangible moments. And in the search forwhat escapes her, knits with language the net that permits her to gloss over what cannot becaptured.Surrounding and playing with the spaces of affection, these three artists, who speaksometimes of interpersonal relations, and sometimes of relations between beings and nature, willbe the object and the means in the investigation of some strategies used by art at the present time. |
