Resumo: | This thesis seeks to analyze the gesture of Folha de S. Paulo newspaper to narrate, five decades later, the 1964s coup and twenty-one years of Brazilian military dictatorship. Through the reading keys of Content Analysis and Semiotic Analysis, combined, we investigated the textualities that emerge especially from the issue "Everything about the Military Dictatorship", published on March 23rd, 2014. From this reading and in the light of concepts such as disabled memory, screen memory and abuse of forgetting, as discussed by Paul Ricoeurs Memory, History, Oblivion, we consider the interactions between past and present, always dynamic and subject to the dilemmas of reminiscence, to reflect on FSPs possible desire to consolidate a collective memory about the period and itself. And yet, how in this narration the newspaper talks about a certain past, but, to some extent, it also characterizes a present and a projection of the future. |
