Resumo: Through exploratory research and application of content analysis, this work sought to contribute to the study of websites of Holocaust museums and other thematic museums in the insertion of people's rights, through the creation of a model using Human Rights (DH) indicators, with emphasis on the approach of education in this theme. In answering the research question: do Holocaust museums address human rights on their websites? And if so, how do they use virtual tools to interact with their audience and seek the effectiveness of their mission? It was identified that: the results obtained from the evaluation of 20 studied museums demonstrate that the elements in the contents of the Holocaust museum websites make references to human rights, following a pattern based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The museums studied are effective in using the mobilization and awareness techniques that technology allows to apply, to raise awareness about abuses of power and human rights, using digital strategies in the exhibition space that lead to encouraging the involvement of visitors with thematic and their awareness of the topic. However, in relation to social interaction on the websites of the studied museums, the results demonstrate that the websites do not offer synchronous online interaction with the visitor. After analyzing the websites of the 20 museums, a reference model was built for the creation of HD indicators, which includes administrative actions for identifying the problem, implementing solving actions, monitoring and evaluation. The model proposal then covers issues that involve identifying whether HD education was clearly defined in terms of the museum's mission and objectives, whether the guidelines encourage the creation of the education menu with activities that promote HD education and whether the guidelines , after creating the education menu, include collaborative tools on the website. It is noteworthy that, since social media are tools that provide greater social interaction between the museum and the online visitor and no synchronous online interaction was found, it is recommended, for future studies, the analysis of social media and interaction with museums online audiences. It is also worth mentioning that information management in museums can contribute to the mapping of information about their collections, taking into account the social and cultural aspects of the artifacts that, when presented to the public, will consider their social and cultural significance.
