Resumo: | In the present research we seek to discuss the challenges of teaching human rights in schools, at a time of increased political tensions around the subject and taking as a premise the perspective that education is based on the resistance to the processes of barbarization that run through contemporary society. Thus, we aimed to undertake na intervention-research that had the purpose of promoting the literacy of Elementary School II and High School students in the language of human rights, articulating a pedagogical approach that would make use of the theoretical and practical dimensions, and seeking a methodological dialogue that would promote the interaction between critical theory, psychoanalysis and epis-temologies of the South. Our research sought to demonstrate the usefulness of using conversations, of listening, of narratives about suffering and overcoming difficulties, and intercultural dialogues as methodological and practical ap-proaches to foster human rights literacy among students of Elementary Educa-tion II in a state school in the city of Belo Horizonte/MG and a municipal school in the city of Ibirité/MG. |
