Resumo: | The insulation design of distribution lines has been carefully reconsidered in the last years because of the widespread use of sensitive electronic devices in the power system and the increasing demand on the power quality. Disturbances to power distribution lines are mainly caused by lightning, especially by indirect lightning. The lightning performance evaluation has many uncertainties. Due to the random nature of lightning, different aspects of the phenomenon are modeled in performance evaluation studies. In recent years, many authors recognized that the soil resistivity plays an important role in the induced voltages by lightning. Nowadays, there is a general agreement that the overall effect of the soil resistivity is to increase the induced voltage on a line when compared to a perfectly conductive soil. The present work deals with a sensitivity analysis of the influence of the soil resistivity in the performance evaluation using different models proposed in the literature to estimate the indirect lightning °ashover rates of overhead distribution lines. |
