Resumo: This dissertation aims to describe and analyze the laboratory of psychology at the Belo Horizonte Teachers College during the time it was in operation, 1929 to 1946, using both primary print and photographic documents. Analyses indicate that several people attended this lab, such as politicians, European psychologists and students. The laboratory held 60 different devices, including brass and glass pieces as well as psychological tests. Our results have pointed out that this lab was an important tool for teaching and researching in psychology, as it was prominent in the development of psychological studies that contributedto the training of public elementary school teachers. This practical training enabled the learning of psychological knowledge about the school, the Brazilian childhood and the elementary school teacher. We conclude that the laboratory of psychology at the Belo Horizonte Teachers College contributed to the organization and circulation of psychology in the first decades of the 20th century in Brazil.
