Resumo: | This academic research has the purpose of analyzing information used in a productive chain with a strategical and competitive approach. The leather shoe productive chain is the study object chosen because it is considered an important economic activity in world-wide terms besides being of great relevance in Brazil, since this country is one of the main producers of womens leather shoes on a world-wide level. The last years were marked by intense transformation in the national economy. The new competitive environment, distinguished by technological changes, fast communication, opening of new markets and global competition, forced the national companies to review their models of competition and markets. The losses of domestic and external market share were the determinant factors in the search for new differentials of production, which made the Brazilian leather shoe industries establish new technologies, train the work force and create new managemental structures. This research identifies the strategical use of information according to the new trends. It has the aim of identifying the most important information considered by some companies of the sector and also the most used sources of collection. It is also observed the use of information systems and identified the contributions of the information use in marketing, finance, project and production regards to companies in this productive sector. |
