Resumo: | Iron ore pellets, sinter and lump ore are used as raw materials charged in the blast furnace to produce pig iron. These materials together constitute the metallic burden. The fuel used in that process is the metallurgical coke or charcoal. In face of this complex process, given many chemical reactions, presence of materials in three states of matter(solid, liquid and gas), high temperature gradients with constant heat exchanges over blast furnace body, the knowledge of physical, chemical and metallurgical properties of raw materials used are essential for control and process optimization. So, the present work has the main objective to study and characterize the pore structure of iron orepellets with nitrogen physical adsorption, helium and mercury picnometry, and quantitative metallography of images from SEM, and its relationship with their typical properties, metallurgical, chemical and physical. As complement of this characterization, theres been made XDR chemical analysis and x ray difratometry. |
