Resumo: | In a first moment, the natural fluids were extensively used in vapor compression cycles for heating and cooling. However, they were gradually replaced with the development of CFCs and HCFs fluids. After years in obsolete, for this purpose, the natural fluids have gained strength following the Kyoto and Montreal protocols. This paper aims to thedevelopment of the mathematical model of the gas cooler in non-steady regime for CO2. Information extracted from this model will be used in the manufacture of an air-water heat pump prototype for residential use. For the development of this model has been used FORTRAN computer language, which this model is based on the balance of mass, momentum and energy of the fluid. The results showed high agreement with current literature. The mathematical model has shown to be an important tool for design of the heat pump, because a natural fluid like CO2 has several particularities as high working pressures and a transcritical cycle |
